WOULD YOU FOLLOW THIS GUY?

Here are some of the things the religious leaders said and did to this guy and his followers.

Matthew 9:11… (attempted character assassination) this guy was accused of eating with tax collectors and especially wicked sinners.
Matthew 9:34… accused of casting demons out with the help of the prince of demons.

Matthew 12:2… his followers were accused of doing what is not lawful (his bad influence)

Matthew 12:24… they said he drives demons out with the help of Beelzebub.
Matthew 12:38… they wanted proof, or validation that he was what he said he was (trickery).
Matthew 15:1… they accused him and his followers of rule violation.
Matthew 16:1… they wanted a sign to attest to his authority (he had done many already).
Matthew 19:3… they gave him the divorce test (another trip up attempt).
Matthew 21:46… an attempt was made to arrest this guy.
Matthew 27:63… further insults even after his death they called him a vagabond and imposter.
Mark 3:6… they consulted with other leaders how to kill this guy and squash his influence.
Mark 8:11… they came arguing, questioning, wanting signs and evidence from this guy.
Mark 10:2… they came to test and to find weakness in this guy.
Mark 12:13… they came for the purpose of entrapping, or snaring him in speech.
Luke 5:21… they argued with this guy, questioning him, accusing him of blasphemy.
Luke 5:30… they murmured against his followers.
Luke 6:7… they observed him with the purpose of finding some ground to accuse him of something.
Luke 7:39… they questioned this guy’s prophetic ability because of the company he kept.
Luke 15:2… they muttered and indignantly complained about this guy and said he accepts and welcomes pre-eminently wicked people and eats with them.
Luke 19:39… this guy is instructed to get his disciples under control.
John 7:47… they express their opinion about this guy’s followers, as being deluded, led astray, swept off their feet.
John 11:57… they reported and arrested this guy.

Why did they do this? This is true with some of the modern day Pharisees; self acclaimed watchmen of the faith, or the heresy hunters. They tried to destroy what this guy accomplished (John 12:19). They loved to receive approval and praise from people rather than doing what’s right in God’s sight. They themselves are pretenders, hypocrites (Matthew 23:25-28), and extortionists, people who prey, spoil, and plunder, grasping self-indulgence.

Who is our guy anyways?????? His name is JESUS!!!!!!
