In this section, Pastor Dieter addresses some of the issues and concerns which have been on our hearts and minds:

  1. What does it mean to be blessed?
  2. Which day is the Sabbath?
  3. Do human beings truly have a free will or are we pretty well predestined to our lot in life?
  4. Women as Pastors and Preachers, what is the current take on this matter or is this a dead issue?
  5. How can I be filled with the Holy Spirit?
  6. Does the Media really think that you and I are that ignorant?
  7. How young is too young to be in a romantic relationship?
  8. What's with all these wars?
  9. Who should I vote for?
  10. Are you hung by the tongue?
  11. Where do we go from here?
  12. Who is on the Lord's side?
  13. If the Jews are God's people then why have they been persecuted for thousands of years?
  14. What Christmas Joy?
  15. If God is all powerful, why can't He just solve all my problems?

Got a question of your own? Send us an email.

What does it mean to be blessed?

Have you ever heard the saying that "everything is coming up roses". Sounds like a pipe dream in this shaky world, a world with such hurt, anger, disappointment.

There is no one that really seems to have any answers for the major problems humanity is facing.

What if there was an answer and somebody that could lead you to victory in the midst of chaos? Well there is! From the beginning of time God has a proven plan for every man. In Genesis 1:28 God's spoken word over His creation was that He would Bless them. That charge has never been rescinded. Religion has squashed it by adding its own opinions and ideals. There are those that are finding out that the gospel (good news) declares that the Blessings of God are to fall on those that walk uprightly. Everyone is welcome.

What does it mean to be Blessed? It means that the favor of God goes before you and works things out before you get there. It means that the fullness (full supply) of what you need for others and for yourself will be there. It means complete satisfaction, safety, freedom in the midst of this worlds system.

Sure you may say that is just a dream. Doesn't God know about all the problems we are facing? YUP! He is the only one that has the master plan for your deliverance right down to your very next step. My dependency then can only be on His ability not mine. In Hebrews 1:2-3 Jesus is the one that created the worlds and upholds all things with the word of His Power. You have nothing to loose and everything to gain by trusting Him.

Let's get started. If you have never made Jesus the Lord of your life do it now (read Romans 10:9-10). Say, "Jesus be the Lord of my Life. Come into my heart. I receive you as my Lord and savior." Jesus will be the biggest blessing in your life. Now are you willing to see Him bless your life as was His original intent?

Let me give you one small nugget: A pattern that repeats itself many times in the Word of God found in Deuteronomy 30:14 God has laid out and displayed what the blessings are and the curses, see (Deut 28). Now in that 14th verse God said that in 3 areas - the mouth, the mind and the heart - the Word (God's Promises) are to be loaded and the Word must NEVER leave those 3 areas. The 3 must remain in agreement no matter who or what comes against you. They could be loaded with evil and consequently produce evil and negative results.

So Let the weak say "I am strong", let the poor say "I am rich and abundantly supplied". Fill those 3 areas with the reservoir of Gods 7000+ promises. God said in the 15th verse I have set before you Life and Good, or death and evil. Then finally in verse 19 God strongly hints that YOU CHOOSE LIFE and you and your descendants will have LIFE - a good life on the Earth.

Which day is the Sabbath?

It is very clear from Scripture that Saturday was the day of the Sabbath. There is no such thing as turning your Sunday into a Sabbath. Many Christians have tried to pull scriptures together to justify keeping a Sabbath on a Sunday. It doesn't work, and it should not be a concern to any born-again Christian to keep the Sabbath anyways. Never ever was a gentile Christian ever told by the Lord or any other New Testament book to keep a Sabbath the ways the Jews of the old covenant did. Those that teach Sabbath keeping are falsely adding an abolished system to the Law of Christ. Christians keep the Law of Christ which is superior, 1 Cor. 9:21, Gal 6:2.

Some Sabbath keeps say that Adam, Noah, and Abraham kept the Sabbath, yet the Ten Commandments and the Sabbath did not exist until Moses. The word Sabbath is never found in the book of Genesis, and it was in Exodus 16 at Mt. Sinai that it was first kept. The Ten Commandments were given to Moses, and they were for a set period of time. They are called statues, ordinances, and decrees in the New Testament and were abolished in their old form. Col 2:14, Eph 2:15. Romans 7:1-7 comes right out and uses the same word for abolished of the 10 Commandments that Eph 2:15 uses of what Sabbath keeps say incorrectly is the ceremonial law. 2 Cor 3, Gal 3:24-25 all say the same thing. Now don't get me wrong, we are not allowed to murder, steal, and use the Lord's name in vain. God wrote the new commandments on our heart and they are much tougher than the old ones written in stone. As a child of God you will want to follow this new way of living based on a life of love. The old abolished way forced people to obey the commandments then so they wouldn't destroy each other.

The New Testament books written to the Church are rather silent when it comes to Sabbath day worship. In fact, if the Apostle Paul had gone directly to the gentiles (all non-Jews) as God had told him, there would be even less written in Acts about him attending a service on Saturday.

In Colossians 2:16-17 it is very clear that no one is to judge you on the matter of the Sabbath. The Sabbath day was ONLY a shadow of things to come, and it only had symbolic value. The word Sabbath in this scripture is SINGULAR referring to the one single weekly Sabbath day, and not plural referring to the many smaller Sabbath feasts the Jews kept under the ceremonial law. The word has been wrongly transliterated by Sabbath keeps as a plural to say that the smaller Sabbaths are over and not the weekly Saturday ritual and that is absolutely WRONG. No problem going to church on Saturday but don't do it as an observance to an old code, or you will be adding to the freedom that Christ purchased for you making your new life in Him ineffective.

Universal record of history (75-500AD) is in 100% unanimous agreement that Christians never kept the Sabbath and have always worshiped on Sunday. Also there is 100% unanimous agreement that Christians ate the Lord's Supper every Sunday in the tradition of Acts 20:7. Also, there is 100% unanimous agreement that Christians always called Sunday the Lord's Day because they said; this was the day Jesus rose from the dead. Confusion started when the Church moved away from the teaching of the apostles. Much like religious Jews tried to get the Church to observe other traditions like circumcision, they saw our freedom in Christ and wanted to add to it. Sabbath observers falsely say we worship on Sunday because we worship the sun. That type of reasoning would then say they worship on Saturday because they worship Saturn.

We go to church not out of religious duty, but to fellowship with God and our fellow believers. We go to be a blessing, to serve, to do our part to get the gospel (good news) out to the world. Now everyday 24/7 is to be kept holy, as was the Sabbath of old. Anytime where two or three are gathered in Jesus name there He is in the midst of us, and we are going to have church. Matthew 18:22 if that scripture is true (and it is) then none of use could ever gather together on any other day than the Sabbath, because Jesus will show up, He keeps His word. Jesus then would be violating the old Sabbath law to meet on Saturday only. Thank God He freed us from the Sabbath law.

Do human beings truly have a free will...

... or are we pretty well predestined to our lot in life?

How important it is to understand predestination and the will of God for every man. Taught incorrectly, predestination sounds somewhat like this; that God has this certain plan and He has selected a few people and the rest He has rejected. If you are one of the fortunate ones, because of predestination, you get selected and get to be with Him throughout all eternity. If not - tough luck.

There is more bad news in this teaching. In it, God can do whatever He wants to, anytime He wants to, to whomever He wants to (and it is always something evil). But you better not complain because He is testing you so just grin and bear it, or else.

I grew up under teaching like that. It caused great fear in my life. I didn't want to get married or have children because God could kill them or allow them to be killed anytime and take them to heaven for the choir. It was said that God knows best, and that it was His sovereign will to work something out in your life.

Can you imagine having to sit your children down and say, "Children, I hate to inform you that God may not have predestined one of you. So, you are not selected to spend eternity with Him but with the devil and his fallen angels." WRONG. It would seem that only the ones applying this teaching are the predestined ones who have it made in the shade.

I want everyone to know that the gospel means good news to EVERY human being. John 3:16 says, "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in Him shall be saved."

God is so awesome, so powerful, so loving. His attributes are endless. Wonderful is the only way that one can describe our loving heavenly father. I'm so glad that He took great care in His wisdom to write down who He is and gave it to us in 66 books and called it, the Bible. He also told us to rightfully divide the word of God so we don't see things incorrectly. He sent Jesus who told us that when we see Jesus we have seen the Father. Jesus went around healing all that He could and loving on everyone that wanted some.

In Romans 8:20 it says, "For those whom He foreknew, of whom He was aware and loved..." (Amp.) This verse would include everyone because according to Psalms 139:13-17 He knew you as you were being formed in your mothers womb. He also says in verse 16 that all your days were written before they took shape, and verse 17 says how precious and weighty (good) are His thoughts to me, they are more than sand by the sea.

Guess what - every one of those thoughts and plans for you is good. God never planned a rape, a murder, a car wreck, a bank robbery, etc... Then why do they happen you ask? It's because there is a thief, Satan, who comes to steal kill and destroy (John 10:10).

Jesus came that you might have the life back that God intended for you in all the planning He did from the beginning of days. The plan is redemption, which means to be bought back and restored to original condition. You repent, which is to stop that which you are doing that is not OK with God - turn 180 degrees in your thinking. Think right according to the original plan of God, which is fullness of life. Think with your mind and believe in your heart. You put on God's mind.

Put on God's armor, resist the thief and he will flee from  you. You have the choice. It says in Romans 8:1 not to walk according to the dictates of the flesh. Not the old stinky way of sin and wrong thinking, bad attitudes, trouble, etc... but the dictates of the Spirit which is God's way of giving you what He has for you... and it is ALL good.

So you see there are always two paths to follow: the way of life and peace which God has planned for you every day; or the way of destruction, which you might choose and in so doing, give the devil access to your life.

Predestination, put simply, is that you were predetermined to be conformed or molded into the shape of Jesus (see Romans 8:29). If you accept this challenge you will begin to act like him, have joy like him, have peace like him, and have a life fulfilled with abundance and purpose like him. Wow Wow Wow!!!

Call on Jesus right now - Romans 10:9-10 - to start your new life today.

Women as Pastors and Preachers...

... what is the current take on this matter, or is this a dead issue?

The issue of woman preachers or pastors is a non-issue in some churches and a major issue in others. Both camps I believe are trying to follow the word of God to the best of their knowledge.

Two scriptures have been used to disallow women to preach or pastor: they are 1 Corinthians 14:33-35, and 1 Timothy 2:11. There has also been some scripture tampering as in Romans 16:7 where some translations have changed the name Junia a woman (Greek word Iounias Strongs #2458 which is feminine) to a man’s name Junias. Certain early manuscripts do carry a different name, but it too is feminine “Julia”. She was counted as an Apostle.

The setting of the above mentioned scriptures must be understood. Women during that time period were not as educated as the men. They lacked the freedoms and the privileges that Jesus came to bring both genders when he started the church. When these women went to any public meetings of any kind they were seated in the outer courts while the men were in the inner courts. It was improper for a woman to interrupt the meeting and ask what a certain matter meant so she was instructed to ask to her husband at home and keep silent in the church. Lack of education also increased the temptation, as of Eve, to follow false doctrine. So Paul was right in instructing these particular women not to teach. These women in both scripture were more the exception than the norm. Young women and young widows could easily entertain fables wives tales, slander, gossip which could easily pervert the Gospel and the early church. Added to this Rabbinical Judaism had added some oral laws which Jesus vigorously opposed Matthew 15:3,23,24. This oral law encouraged subjugation of women with statements like this: women are pitchers full of filth, greedy… slothful… prone to steal.

The Bible is full of women that fulfilled critical roles, taught Gods word, ministered to others and also prophesied publicly.

Miriam sang songs publicly Exodus 15:20,21. Deborah the Old Testament judge (obviously educated) had people inquire of her on spiritual issues rather than ask their husbands at home. Deuteronomy 17:9.

Acts 2:17 God said that he would pour out His spirit on all people and sons and daughters would prophecy. In Acts 21:7 there were four daughters that prophesied. In 1 Corinthians 11:4 women prayed and prophesied. In Romans 16:1 Phoebe a deaconess was to be received as a saint and helped. Look up the qualifications of a deacon or elder. There was the disciple Tabitha in Acts 9:36 and the prophetess Anna who was in the temple and spoke about the child Jesus to all who were looking for redemption of Jerusalem. Remember when one is prophesying it is to be loud so the whole congregation hears and judges what is spoken. Prophecy is not only a public ministry but it encompasses exhortation, which includes instruction. This does not fit then with the scriptures that a woman is to remain silent in the church. 1 Corinthians 12:28 ... and in the church God has appointed first apostles, secondary prophets, thirdly teachers… all these office have been represented by women in the above mentioned scriptures. Obviously there is a calling and training that goes into any office any man or woman stands in; so we can clearly see the contrast between the educated and the uneducated women (and I’ll add men) that are to remain silent in church.

Today we have many successful women that stand in public ministry offices. They walk in the power of the Holy Spirit with signs and wonders following the preaching or teaching of the word. I know, I am married to one.

How can I be filled with the Holy Spirit?

Every blessing, every gift from God must be received by faith. Faith, simply put, is trust. You and I must trust that God actually has something for you, and that He actually wants to deliver (give) it to you. He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.

In this case you are asking about receiving the Holy Spirit. To receive the infilling or the baptism of the Holy Spirit ask yourself, what do I really believe about this experience?

Some people believe we have received all there is when we are born again. Some believe that the end of their infilling experience is when they begin to speak in other tongues. There are those who believe that you must be continually filled with the Holy Spirit.

I know of several people that wish they could be filled; some have even sought to be filled for 30 or 40 years without ever receiving this most important gift.

First, in the Scriptures there is a difference between being born of the spirit and being filled with the spirit. Nobody would question John 3:16 that God so loved the whole world that he gave every person the ability to be born again through calling on the Lord Jesus Christ.

When we are born again we receive eternal life. Our spirit man is recreated so that we can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is a living example of the story of having a new wine skin to hold the new wine and not the old wine skin patched up. The Holy Spirit reveals to us that we are born again.

Secondly, you must know that it is God's will for you to be filled with the Holy Spirit; no ifs, no buts. Your faith and trust will rise as you examine the Scriptures relating to the infilling of the Holy Spirit because faith cometh by hearing (or reading) the Word of God.

Third, now you will enter into the steps of receiving this gift. What would you do if I reached out my hand to hand you a gift? You would extend your hand towards me with the expectancy that that which was in my hands was going to end up in yours.

You would not for a minute think that I would jerk back my hands and not give you the gift. So prepare yourself mentally and spiritually that when you ask God the Father for this gift He is not going to jerk it away from you.

Fourthly, now go to God in prayer, by yourself, or attend a Holy Spirit infilling believing church, and ask in faith, believing that you will receive the moment you believe. Then start thanking the Father that He did what He said He would do; like He did with Jesus in John 14:16-17 when Jesus asked the Father to send the comforter (Holy Spirit) that He may abide with us forever.

Just say, "Heavenly Father, I ask You to fill me now with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues." Then spend time worshipping Him and thanking Him for what you have received.

You may or may not instantly sense or feel something, or speak with new tongues, but never let go of the fact you live by faith and not by sight or evidence. If you are willing to stand in faith till the answer manifests you won't be standing for long.

You, like those believers that have the infilling, will sense that power has come on you, you will start speaking in tongues, and gifts to serve others will start developing in your life. Every believer must be filled in these last days to effectively carry forth His Word in power.

Does the Media really think that...

... you and I are that ignorant?

My mama didn't raise a fool. She also taught me to do what is right in the sight of God and Man. My dad always said, "never start a fight or you will get it when you come home... but you can defend yourself."

After months of dodged Qassam rockets lobbed from vantage points in Gaza (land ignorantly offered to the Palestine people for peace)... after years of attacks by homicide bombers bent on the destruction of as many Jews as possible... after the kidnapping and murder of young Israeli, Eliyahu Asheri in the West Bank, and the abduction of Cpl. Gilad Shalit... after the threat that Shalit would be "butchered in front of TV cameras" if the Israelis tried to rescue him... after a Qassam rocket finally landed in the parking lot of a school in Ashkelon... Israel has said, "Enough is Enough."

Then Hezbollah militants operating from inside Lebanon opened fire on two Israeli armored vehicles patrolling the border inside Israel. Three soldiers were killed in the attack and two were taken hostage. Hezbollah terrorists armed, funded, and trained by Iran planned these kidnappings months in advance in order to provoke a reaction from Israel. Israel responded by calling up more troops. Prime Minister Ehud Olmet called the act "an unprovoked assault by a sovereign nation" and held Lebanon, where Hezbollah has a minister in the government, fully responsible. The Lebanese army would fight along side of the Hezbollah terrorists, said the Prime Minister of Lebanon.

One can clearly see that the suffering that has happened on both sides can only be blamed on the leadership of Lebanon, who has allowed blood thirsty terrorists to freely set up shop in the midst of innocent women and children, who are victims of these tragedies. Why did moderate Muslims allow them to set up their launching pads and outposts in civilian areas, or at all? A simple saying would answer that... What you allow, you endorse, period. Somebody fed and raised these terrorists, and sent them to terrorist school, where they became the devil's little henchmen to carry out his murderous schemes.

Hear this all people. The one and only true God has said in Jeremiah 31:35-36 "This is what the Lord says, He who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and the stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so the waves roar - the Lord Almighty is His name:" (36) "Only if these decrees vanish from my sight," declares the Lord, "will the descendants of Israel ever cease."

A person has to be absolutely insane to come against the only true and living God. The Nation that blesses Israel shall be blessed, said God. I pray that our western media (who has done everything in its power to bring a false slant to this war) would truly get a revelation of what is really going on. Their efforts to focus in on the suffering of one side and the blame they have laid at the true victims feet (Israel) is nothing short of adding insult to injury. Remember, what you allow you endorse.

I pray that we all keep on standing for the truth. A religious system who has in their agenda to wipe out the nation of Israel rather than to co-exist with them, is a religious system that is at odds with Almighty God.

In closing, I want to thank God for the Prime Minister we have in Steven Harper. We, as a nation, will be blessed for standing up for Israel. His leadership at this time is crucial, and I pray for his re-election in advance.

How young is too young...

... to be in a romantic relationship?

I do not claim to be an expert on this subject, nor do I believe there is a set age where it is now ok to enter into romance.

As a father of 3 wonderful teens I do see things a lot differently than when I was young. I want to see my teens avoid the pitfalls that only lead to avoidable hurts and disappointments. The world is full of dear people that have crashed in their romantic relationships no matter what age they are. If I could help one young person avoid getting romantically involved too soon and for the wrong reasons it was worth writing this life question.

Know this from Matthew 19:19, "And love your neighbour as yourself." After loving the Lord Jesus Christ, to love yourself to the same degree as your neighbour is essential for a healthy lasting relationship. This means you put value on yourself. You are created in God's image, you were specifically designed (Ephesians 2:10). You are God's poem. Let Him finish you, not the guy or gal you are dating.

Many people get romantically involved too soon and try to shape themselves to fit the one they are dating. They do not allow God time to shape and develop them into a mature enough state where they can more readily find that perfect match. Soon tensions develop because people never find out who they are, or what they are to be in life.

Be brutally honest with yourself. Ask yourself these questions:

  1. What is the motive behind this romantic relationship? Both genders must be clear as to the motive of the other person they are romancing.

  2. Is this person to be my life partner? If not you have no business experimenting with this individual on levels of trust that are only suitable for married couples. Remember every break-up is like a divorce. It leaves scars and hurts that often cause people to rebound into the arms of another.

  3. Is this romantic relationship for sexual gratification? Usually the male will encourage this physical aspect because that is the way God designed it. God put sex within the confines of marriage because this act outside of marriage causes more hurt and mistrust than any other. So be wise teenage gals, sex before marriage scars. Guys, sex before age 18 is sex with a minor which is punishable by law. So don't get involved romantically if it is just for the physical gratification.

  4. Is this romantic relationship what I need to be fulfilled? If that is you, I must most assuredly tell you that you are heading for heartbreak. Your partner was never meant to fill in the gaps. Two 50% people never make 100%. On the other hand, it is neat to see some of the positive, self-motivated, confident singles I know strut their stuff. I know they will be a positive influence in any relationship.

  5. Is my romantic relationship based on fear of not finding someone else? A little saying back when I was a teen tormented me. It went like this: If you love someone let them go. If they don't come back they were never yours in the first place. I was so happy when I finally caught one, I thought God, what is this?? Your catch and release system?? Now I know that that was just my own insecurities speaking.

  6. Is this romance my security blanket? I do know that there are truck loads of hurts that drive young people in the arms of another. Maybe they come from a broken home. maybe they have no friends, or no self confidence, or no money. Whatever the motive, what you compromise to gain you will ultimately lose.

I highly recommend that you do not get involved in a romantic relationship before you have reached some level of physical, mental, and spiritual maturity. Be sure that you are confident and excited about the life that God gave you. Ensure that you have at least reached adulthood, remembering that true love waits. If the guy or gal can't wait for you then it is obvious that they are in it for themselves and they went fishing in the wrong pond. Never let pressure move you but be lead by the peace of God. Ask God to give you the right mate. He knows what you need; HE MADE YOU.

Who should I vote for?

We Canadians have a wonderful opportunity to stand up for what is good and wholesome for our great country. Canada is the best nation in the whole world and I for one want to keep it that way. Canadians who love their country MUST get out and vote with their conscience this time.

We have seen political leaders force the members of their own party to vote for things that are totally wrong and corrupt. The party whip comes out and whips everybody into shape. That’s sick.

When people are threatened into silence, democracy has gone out the window. The political party in power setup a sneaky, tricky vote on same sex marriage knowing they had to sneak it past the opposition at an opportune time when it was least expected, while the party whip gagged any one of that party that wanted to exercise their democratic right and vote their conscience.

Oh Canada, we stand on guard for thee should be your plea on voting day this Monday the 23rd.

Many veterans were asked to lay down their lives for this great Country. They must ask themselves is this the Canada I bled to defend. Who’s rights are we protecting anyways. Definitely not the unborn child that has become an inconvenience to a misinformed mom and then aborted. Definitely not the upright citizen who sees the same thug that robbed them back out on the streets in just a few days. Definitely not the low income Canadian or farmer who has no relief for the high cost of living.

All the while our Canadian Bill of Rights states "The Parliament of Canada affirming that the Canadian Nation is founded upon principles that acknowledge the supremacy of God, the dignity and worth of the human person and the position of the family in a society of free men and free institutions; Affirming also that men and institutions remain free only when freedom is founded upon respect for moral and spiritual values and the rule of law; And being desirous of enshrining these principles and the human rights and fundamental freedoms derived from them in a Bill of Rights which shall reflect the respect of Parliament for its constitutional authority and which shall ensure the protection of these rights and freedoms in Canada."

Under the Bill of Rights it also states… "The right of the individual to life, liberty, security of person and enjoyment of property and the right not to be deprived thereof except by due process of law; … The right to equality and protection of the law… freedom of religion, speech, assembly and association…"

All of the freedoms we enjoy were entrenched with Godly principles by Godly men who saw great things for this Nation and the people therein. Even our flag was carefully chosen. The leaf represents healing to every heart at home in Canada, and then healing flowing from our borders to other nations. The colour of our flag, red, for the blood of Jesus, while the white speaks of purity and right standing with our maker.

Now it’s your turn to make your mark for this country. Vote your conscience and the right party will win and steer us to a healthy, prosperous future.

Are you hung by the tongue?

Hangings did not cease with the Wild West. Many people are hung by their tongue and don't even know it. As a believer in Jesus Christ, life is as great as it was meant to be. Still, there are some universal laws that apply to all humans that will govern and control what happens to you.

First, a little history and physics for you. Scientists have determined that our universe boiled down to it's smallest matter is nothing more than a sound wave. Thank God that Jesus (Hebrews 1:3) is upholding all things by the WORD of His power. I am glad God doesn't have a bad word day or this planet would be flung into the back forties of our vast universe; which by the way, is still expanding because God said, "let there be light" (Gen 1:14).

In Genesis 1:26 God said, "let us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in our image and likeness", and man became a TALKING spirit. Why TALKING? So that we could glorify God with our mouth and to SPEAK our way to victory and also encourage and lift others up.

Dr. Masaru Emoto recently made another amazing scientific discovery. His proof that thoughts and feelings affect physical reality has put Dr. Emoto at the forefront of the study of water. By producing focused intentions through written and SPOKEN WORDS, as well as music, and then presenting it to the same water samples, the water appears to "change its expressions".

He found that water from clear springs and the water that had been exposed to LOVING WORDS show brilliant colourful snowflake patterns. In contrast, polluted water or water exposed to NEGATIVE COMMUNICATIONS forms incomplete asymmetrical patterns and dull colours.

The same changes of expression occur with people when exposed to heavy metal music, fighting, arguing, and all forms of negative words. Our bodies are 80% water, and what we HEAR and SAY does affect us.

Proverbs 6:1-2 says, "Thou art snared with the WORDS of thy mouth."

Proverbs 4:20-22 says, "Attend to my WORDS... they are life to all that find them and health (medicine) to all their flesh."

Proverbs 18:20, "Life and death are in the power of the tongue..."

Christianity is called the "Great Confession", but most Christians who are defeated in life are defeated because they believe and confess the wrong things. They speak the WORDS of the enemy, and those WORDS hold them in bondage. I.e.: Oh, "I am so sick, so broke, so getting that bird flu" etc, etc, etc.

Sensationalized by the false claims of Hollywood movies that depict strong devils or demon-possessed people winning with demonic powers, people are misled into believing these myths as reality. We are only defeated by our own stupidity and ignorance in giving into the devil by speaking wrong WORDS and believing wrong things. Colossians 2:15 saith "... and having disarmed the powers and authorities of darkness, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."

The devil (in his paralyzed state) seeks whom he may devour. Just don't be found with your WORD guard down.

Man is a spirit being very capable of operating on the same level of faith as God.

Mark 11:23 says, "For verily I say unto you that whosoever shall SAY to this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he SAITH shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he SAITH."

Go to a good church this Sunday and learn about God's WORD guard.

Where do we go from here?

These are wonderful days. Great days to be alive, great days to live the high life God provides for them that love Him and have called on His name.

Sure our government (for whom we pray) has rammed through legislation that will hurt people and our country in the long run. Our forefathers must surely be rolling in their graves. Gas prices are up, and the weather is off the charts in every direction. We have crazy religious zealots putting bombs in buses and subways in the name of false religion.

The only thing that I am puzzled about is the fact that some Christians look like they have been sucking on sour lemons, complaining, worrying, bemoaning, and fearful. Hey!!! My fellow Christian did you pray for your nation during these crucial times? I am not talking about throwing up a quickie to the "Big Guy". I am talking about working faithfully with those that you are fitly joined together with as you faithfully attend church, and are faithful to serve, give, intercede (pray for others) for the cause of Christ and your nation. Well then brethren we have what we didn't pray for. It's time to awaken the sleeping Giant (the church) and get busy with our Father's business. This is not the time to cry and complain and reminisce of the way it used to be. If you are serious about seeing the nation turn back to God it's time to humble ourselves and pray and God will heal our land. I am hoping these days of trial will permanently jerk the slack out of some halfhearted uncommitted Christians.

I'm thrilled with the fact Biblical prophecy has already foretold us of these times in very precise detail. The Bible also tells us to rejoice and live in expectant hope with a sober mind when these things happen. God is about to turn up the power. Where sin abounds (and it is) grace (God's provision for his people) much more.

Listen my brethren; get a revelation of Christ in you the hope of glory, not outside of you when everything is well, not under some bush. Get a revelation of being God's rep, an ambassador with your citizenship in Heaven. Get a revelation of the needs of every non-believer, and the love of Jesus Christ that was poured out for them.

Listen, Psalm 23 says The Lord is your Shepard you shall not lack. You've got green pastures, restful waters. He refreshes and restores your life. He leads you on righteous paths. In the shadow valley, fear no evil, because God's word and His leading will always cause you to win. He prepares a table, a full supply in the presence of your enemies. Your cup runs over, and only goodness and mercy shall follow you ALL the days of your life, as the Lords house (going to Church) is your dwelling place.

There you go, that's God's position on your deal. So get with the program. Make a decision not to bow your knee to satan, don't give him the satisfaction of your worrying, don't ever let him see you sweat. You are on the winning side.

I hear Harry Potter books sold millions of copies. Ironically, the last book is called Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Wait and see how this earth will shake at the coming of the full blood King Jesus Christ. Those children will show no interest in some fictitious witchcraft novel in the light of our glorious Jesus Christ.

Who is on the Lord's side?

Our government (for whom we pray) is feverishly attempting to ram through legislation that allows same sex marriages. The government voted against a referendum which crushes the voice of democracy in Canada. We will continue to pray for our government. We need strong leadership in government, a solid voice of champion leaders making healthy, wholesome, honest decisions that promote life not death.

Same sex marriages promote death to our moral fiber, virtues, and health of our nation. Other special interest groups are waiting in the wings. Hey, I have the right to marry my horse, my dog, or that ten year old girl. Give me my freedom even if it kills me. The song "I love turtles yah, yah, yah" can be taken to a completely new level now as I'm sure someone may want to marry their turtle.

We need strong leadership in our churches. Ministers and congregations who will have the integrity of a Daniel. (Daniel 1:8) When it came to standing up against the King, Daniel stood in integrity and the Lord's might to do what is right. The Lord is always right. Daniel refused to defile himself staying with an unpopular "politically incorrect" decision. But, guess what, he won in the end. The 3 Hebrew children also did one of those unpopular "politically incorrect" things but guess what, they won also. (Daniel 3:16-30).

I challenge all Ministers. Either be on the Lord's side or get out of the ministry. Jesus Christ would NEVER marry a gay couple, NEVER. He loves them too much. He loves the prostitute, the adulterer, the thief, the pervert etc? But, His love (which sets free) would always say "go and sin no more". Jesus can not bless or sanction a union or an activity that violates Himself the Living Word. He is the way, the truth, and the life. Romans 1:24-29 is so clear on the subject of homosexuality, a five year old child can understand it.

As a minister of the gospel (the good news) I'm committed and responsible to teach you the way of life not death. Jesus came to give life and life more abundantly. Therefore any church or minister that says gay marriages are ok is a contradiction in terms. They promote death while professing to know Jesus the author of life.

At Victory Life Fellowship we are committed to loving people. We do NOT condemn gay people nor do we hate them or carry strong ill will towards them. On the contrary our job is to show all people the way to a wonderful fulfilling, long and happy life.

God made the body. He knows what makes it tick. The Bible expresses His love, devotion, wisdom, for an awesome life. He also has shown us what destroys our bodies, ie: stress, worry, fear, and the gay lifestyle. It drastically shortens the life span of the gay male.

Dr. Paul Cameron's article entitled: "Medical Consequences of the Gay Lifestyle 1995" states The median age of death of a married heterosexual male is 75 years of age, and 80% of them died old (65+). For unmarried or divorced men the median age was 57 and 32% died older than that. The median age of death amongst gay people nationwide indicates that less than 2% survived to old age. Shocking statistics proving the gay lifestyle is NOT of God.

Tolerance is not ignorance. It allows anyone to examine another's views or beliefs and practices then making an educated decision on that. THE TRUTH of a certain matter is right now there are policies tabled that would not only attempt to silence the ministers of the gospel, but also the medical profession from speaking the TRUTH about the medical consequences of this lifestyle.

The question remains. Who is on the Lord's side?

If the Jews are God's people...

... then why have they been persecuted for thousands of years?

Turning your question into the answer only requires changing the first word. Because the Jews are Gods people they have been persecuted for thousands of years. God established a covenant (contract) with them through Abraham. As we all know a contract is based upon both parties upholding their end. This contract was loaded with provision and protection. God has delivered his people marvelously when they walked in obedience to the covenant. Other times they would suffer greatly when they did their own thing and rebelled against God.

There is a Big lesson in this for us as Christians today. God through Jesus Christ has blessed us, but only a few believers know, believe, and welcome the full covenant package we have from God.

Those that persecute the Jews and the church of Jesus Christ show that they are openly in opposition to the one and only true and living God. Watch out!! The Bible is also very clear that the nation that stands with Israel shall be blessed.

Why persecute Israel? The bottom line is simple, destroy God's people, take their land, get rid of them (this hate is taught in Arabic schools) and you make the God of Israel and His word a lie. If the devil can find a people that are willing to use violence to destroy the Jews, (and he has), he can continue to attempt to destroy the everlasting covenant. What a fool. God's word will never fail.

There are 17 Arabic nations with 500 times more land than there is in Israel. Why do they want the little spec called Israel? Where is the brotherly love towards their own people the Palestinians??? Amazingly you can blow up a bus in Israel and the world is silent. But if Israel responds to the atrocity the world is upset. Who is on the Lord's side? Definitely not the bias media.

Israeli rule in the land of Israel started with Joshua's conquest in about 1250 BC. In 63 BC-313 AD Rome destroyed and renamed Judea to Palaestina in order to eradicate all signs of Jewish identification with the land of Israel. Palaestina derived from the Philistines who were enemies to the Israeli people. Over the entire period up to today, there has never been any distinctive Palestinian culture or language, and there has never been a country called Palestine governed by Palestinians.

November 1947 United Nations General Assembly partition plan - over 80% of the area offered to the Jewish state was desert, while the Arabs were offered large tracts of fertile land on the West Bank and in northern Galilee. Israel agreed, the Arab states did not. Why? It would have meant recognition of Israel's right to exist as a sovereign state. This was not acceptable to the Arab states.

1948 UN votes to create a Jewish state. On that day Transjordan (now Jordan) and 5 other Arabic states moved to destroy the new nation of Israel by attacking them militarily on all borders. Jordan captured most of Judea and Samaria, but the Lord saved Israel.

On and on it goes, as the enemies of Israel keep plugging away trying to destroy God's people. You must know that you never mess with God's people because in the end you'll just be messing with God himself.

What Christmas Joy?

OH "People, People". Listen on, Listen all. Come, taste and see how good our God is. I can hardly contain myself for the wonderful things I have seen and heard lately and it's getting more exciting all the time. Jesus, who was conceived Christmas Day, born nine months later (according to ancient Rabbinical Calendars) is still working mightily amongst his people healing the sick, setting the oppressed free from the effects of sin. What a joy it is to be a believer in Jesus Christ. His Word is truth and life.

Listen! I invite you all! All who are sad and depressed, all who are lonely. All who are sick. All who need answers, rich or poor, young and old. Come! Come one, come all! We love helping people find joy and peace everlasting through Jesus Christ. Listen to the words of Solomon to his son in Proverbs 4:18-19 (paraphrased) "The path of the righteous (believer) gets brighter and brighter (things get better and better) but the path of the unbeliever is deep darkness; they do not know at what they stumble." Verse 22, "For they (the words of God) are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh."

Listen Friend! Do you hear the invitation? This is for you!! Our whole congregation is absolutely excited and doing all we can to get this good news to every person we meet.

Psalm 34:2 "My life makes its boast in the Lord; Let the humble (teachable) and afflicted hear and be glad." Verse 4: "For I cried (inquired about God) and He heard me and delivered me from all my fears." Now isn't that good news! No more fears. Free from the pressures and anxieties of life. There are more people in hospitals today because of the effects of fear (i.e. worry and stress) than any other disease.

Psalm 34:6 "This poor man cried (called out to God for answers) and the Lord heard him and saved him out of his troubles." Yes friend, God has a financial plan that works. He wants to see his people free of financial struggles.

Psalm 34:7 "The angel of the Lord camps around those who reverence Him (God) and each of them He delivered." Thank God for His awesome plan to protect and keep safe all His children. I have great peace and joy in my heart concerning my family because I know God takes a special interest to keep them safe from this world.

Listen friend. He wants the same for your family too! you and your loved ones are so special to God you just need to accept that fact and come to Him.

Psalm 34:9 "Reverence the Lord you His saints, revere and worship Him! For there is NO want to those who truly revere and worship Him."

That sounds like my awesome God. he is not just enough, He is too much.

Come to Him this Christmas!

If God is all powerful...

... why can't He just solve all my problems?

It surprises people all the time when I tell them that there are many things that God can't do. Yes, God is all knowing, all powerful and always present, but He has let us know by the Bible who He operates. It will always be "as it is written" in His Word.

Insurance companies call natural disasters "an act of God". Just because God (who is all knowing) recorded in His Word that in the last days there will be an increase in earthquakes and other destructive weather activity, doesn't mean He is doing it. If these things wouldn't be happening, and all the other prophecies that are being fulfilled, I would be perplexed because His Word is always true.

No, God does not run around doing His own thing whenever He wants to, because with great power comes great responsibility... Obviously, there are many things that are in His hand (i.e. times, dates, seasons), but He has already told us that in His Word.

If God could just run around doing whatever He wanted, everything on this planet would be perfect. It was in the beginning and again will be in the end, as His Word says.

In a nutshell, God gave man dominion over this planet. Man (Adam) gave dominion to the Devil. Jesus defeated the devil and gave all power back to man. If man would become a believer and act according to the rulebook, the Bible, many things would change.

So what can't God do? Here is just a few things God can't do.

  1. God cannot change. James 1:17. Some liberal things want to adjust what God says about certain issues (i.e. abortion, homosexuality), but they will always fall flat on their faces because God's ways are always right.

  2. God cannot lie. Satan is the author of lies. God's Word can always be trusted.

  3. God cannot go back on His promises. 2 Corinthians 1:20. His promises are yes and amen. So many Christians have not yet understood all the wonderful things God has promised them.

  4. God cannot leave us or forsake us. Hebrews 13:5-6. What a wonderful promise to all God's children in any and every situation.

  5. God cannot be pleased without faith. Hebrews 11:6. Here is a huge reason why many people do not receive what God has promised them. It is in our ability to change our faith level for faith comes by hearing and hearing God's Word.

  6. God cannot give anything to a double minded person. James 1:8. This one is totally up to us.

  7. God cannot love sin. Proverbs 6:16. Sin always hurts people sooner or later. God loves people, so sin and God don't mix.

  8. God cannot do anything contrary to the Scriptures. Rejoice, it's all good to them that believe God and take Him at His Word.

  9. God cannot force Himself upon you. You have the ability to choose God or reject Him. Your eternal destiny will always be up to you.

Go for God. He's a good God all the time.
