Turning your question into the answer only requires changing the first word. Because the Jews are Gods people they have been persecuted for thousands of years. God established a covenant (contract) with them through Abraham. As we all know a contract is based upon both parties upholding their end. This contract was loaded with provision and protection. God has delivered his people marvelously when they walked in obedience to the covenant. Other times they would suffer greatly when they did their own thing and rebelled against God.

There is a Big lesson in this for us as Christians today. God through Jesus Christ has blessed us, but only a few believers know, believe, and welcome the full covenant package we have from God.

Those that persecute the Jews and the church of Jesus Christ show that they are openly in opposition to the one and only true and living God. Watch out!! The Bible is also very clear that the nation that stands with Israel shall be blessed.

Why persecute Israel? The bottom line is simple, destroy God's people, take their land, get rid of them (this hate is taught in Arabic schools) and you make the God of Israel and His word a lie. If the devil can find a people that are willing to use violence to destroy the Jews, (and he has), he can continue to attempt to destroy the everlasting covenant. What a fool. God's word will never fail.

There are 17 Arabic nations with 500 times more land than there is in Israel. Why do they want the little spec called Israel? Where is the brotherly love towards their own people the Palestinians??? Amazingly you can blow up a bus in Israel and the world is silent. But if Israel responds to the atrocity the world is upset. Who is on the Lord's side? Definitely not the bias media.

Israeli rule in the land of Israel started with Joshua's conquest in about 1250 BC. In 63 BC-313 AD Rome destroyed and renamed Judea to Palaestina in order to eradicate all signs of Jewish identification with the land of Israel. Palaestina derived from the Philistines who were enemies to the Israeli people. Over the entire period up to today, there has never been any distinctive Palestinian culture or language, and there has never been a country called Palestine governed by Palestinians.

November 1947 United Nations General Assembly partition plan - over 80% of the area offered to the Jewish state was desert, while the Arabs were offered large tracts of fertile land on the West Bank and in northern Galilee. Israel agreed, the Arab states did not. Why? It would have meant recognition of Israel's right to exist as a sovereign state. This was not acceptable to the Arab states.

1948 UN votes to create a Jewish state. On that day Transjordan (now Jordan) and 5 other Arabic states moved to destroy the new nation of Israel by attacking them militarily on all borders. Jordan captured most of Judea and Samaria, but the Lord saved Israel.

On and on it goes, as the enemies of Israel keep plugging away trying to destroy God's people. You must know that you never mess with God's people because in the end you'll just be messing with God himself.
