If the Jews are God's people then why have they been persecuted for thousands of years? PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 01 January 2007 00:00

Turning your question into the answer only requires changing the first word. Because the Jews are Gods people they have been persecuted for thousands of years. God established a covenant (contract) with them through Abraham. As we all know a contract is based upon both parties upholding their end. This contract was loaded with provision and protection. God has delivered his people marvelously when they walked in obedience to the covenant. Other times they would suffer greatly when they did their own thing and rebelled against God.

There is a Big lesson in this for us as Christians today. God through Jesus Christ has blessed us, but only a few believers know, believe, and welcome the full covenant package we have from God.

Those that persecute the Jews and the church of Jesus Christ show that they are openly in opposition to the one and only true and living God. Watch out!! The Bible is also very clear that the nation that stands with Israel shall be blessed.

Why persecute Israel? The bottom line is simple, destroy God's people, take their land, get rid of them (this hate is taught in Arabic schools) and you make the God of Israel and His word a lie. If the devil can find a people that are willing to use violence to destroy the Jews, (and he has), he can continue to attempt to destroy the everlasting covenant. What a fool. God's word will never fail.

What Christmas Joy? PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 01 December 2006 00:00

OH "People, People". Listen on, Listen all. Come, taste and see how good our God is. I can hardly contain myself for the wonderful things I have seen and heard lately and it's getting more exciting all the time. Jesus, who was conceived Christmas Day, born nine months later (according to ancient Rabbinical Calendars) is still working mightily amongst his people healing the sick, setting the oppressed free from the effects of sin. What a joy it is to be a believer in Jesus Christ. His Word is truth and life.

Listen! I invite you all! All who are sad and depressed, all who are lonely. All who are sick. All who need answers, rich or poor, young and old. Come! Come one, come all! We love helping people find joy and peace everlasting through Jesus Christ. Listen to the words of Solomon to his son in Proverbs 4:18-19 (paraphrased) "The path of the righteous (believer) gets brighter and brighter (things get better and better) but the path of the unbeliever is deep darkness; they do not know at what they stumble." Verse 22, "For they (the words of God) are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh."

Listen Friend! Do you hear the invitation? This is for you!! Our whole congregation is absolutely excited and doing all we can to get this good news to every person we meet.

If God is all powerful why can't He just solve all my problems? PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 01 November 2006 00:00

It surprises people all the time when I tell them that there are many things that God can't do. Yes, God is all knowing, all powerful and always present, but He has let us know by the Bible who He operates. It will always be "as it is written" in His Word.

Insurance companies call natural disasters "an act of God". Just because God (who is all knowing) recorded in His Word that in the last days there will be an increase in earthquakes and other destructive weather activity, doesn't mean He is doing it. If these things wouldn't be happening, and all the other prophecies that are being fulfilled, I would be perplexed because His Word is always true.

No, God does not run around doing His own thing whenever He wants to, because with great power comes great responsibility... Obviously, there are many things that are in His hand (i.e. times, dates, seasons), but He has already told us that in His Word.

If God could just run around doing whatever He wanted, everything on this planet would be perfect. It was in the beginning and again will be in the end, as His Word says.
