Every Day, Joyce is thanking God for His Goodness. She shares what happened for her during the time of her husband’s death and the miracles God provided daily!
On Tuesday May 4th, the doctor called me to the hospital from work because Arthur was getting much worse, and he thought he would not last the night.
I stopped at the VLF office and saw pastors Dieter and Diana there. They immediately came with me to the hospital.
Diana drove my car and she put money in the parking meter for 24 hours.

Arthur had a private room, I anointed him with oil, and pastors Dieter and Diana and I prayed for him, and Diana sang to him.

He was resting comfortably. Pastor Diana arranged for people from VLF to come and stay in the private room with us.
I called family members and they came later in the afternoon and evening and said their last goodbyes.

Later that night pastors Dieter and Diana visited again. Diana led Arthur in a prayer for salvation.
On May 6th 2010, in the morning about 5am, Arthur passed away peacefully.

I called Dieter and Diana and they arrived soon after.
They took me out for breakfast in Westbank, and filled my cars empty gas tank and later gave me a gift card for $100 worth of gas.

They both came to my house that day, and helped me find an affordable funeral director for the cremation.
Diana made a list of all the information needed for the funeral director, who later came to
my house and finalized all the details of the cremation.
She also made a list of all the people that I needed to call. It was a very long list, and I contacted most of them that day, and made appointments where necessary. The cremation details were all taken care of in a less than an hour.

Lenore Hendricks came to my house to gather photos for the DVD to be seen at the memorial service.
Rob and Mandy his girlfriend came later that afternoon. I said to Mandy that I needed money for the funeral director by May 10th at 11 am, but I had no money.
I said that I might have to take up a collection or try to borrow money from some of my brothers, and I laughed.

Mandy offered to lend me the money and whatever extra that I needed.
I was surprised. She said that she had just sold her house and received the money from the sale of it 2 weeks ago. So that was a real miracle and a great blessing for me.

On May 7th 2010, Sophia Kassay who speaks fluent Hungarian, was able to contact Arthurs family in Hungary and tell them the sad news of Arthurs passing away.
She also ministered to his two sisters and led in a prayer of salvation which they prayed with her.

I needed help to find the wills, so I said to the Lord, where are the wills, help me find them.
And the first place I thought of is where they were, right in front of me in a case on my bedroom floor, so that was a miracle also.
I will write some more later. – Joyce Salga. Thanks for sharing Joyce! We believe with you for more daily miracles and blessings coming your way!

Welcome Back Andy!! We missed you!
We were able to give out enough ice tea even though in the natural we should have ran out. God kept filling it we were able to give 20 cups even though it was nearly empty to start with.
We had an open door to ‘Garden of Eden’ (escort service) again and we able to offer a smile. Praise God for open doors. We prayed over the building as well.

Testimonies- Mark from the Kelowna Gospel Mission praised us for the work we do. He said at the end of the day be happy knowing that you are making a difference down here. Praise God!!

Just a little praise report from class this Sunday. I am so proud of our kids!
I started teaching about prayer and having the whole class share what they know about prayer (with a little help from victory bucks) and our kids came out with some really amazing and insightful answers. Answers like: “Praying is just talking to God” and “All you have to do is pray and God hears you” “When we asked Jesus in our hearts all we did was pray” “God even cares when we pray for a new bike or help with homework.”

We also happened to have a new girl Kalyn in our class a very sweet young lady who her Mom said was “shy” well not with the friendly kids in our class. You would think that she had known everyone for years… well the love of God makes everyone comfortable.

Well what this is all leading to is Kalyn excepted Jesus into her heart on Sunday! As a class we asked her if she had ever asked Jesus into her heart to be her best friend and she didn’t think so. So I asked if she wanted the whole class to pray with her she excitedly said “Oh Yes!” So our whole class without any argument prayed with her and it was an awesome moment.
I really hope this blesses you as much as it has me. – Teacher Lindsay
*(just a side note: this little girl is Joyce Salga’s ‘adopted’ granddaughter)J…Praise God for family salvations!

Greetings from Taiwan! Thank you very much for your support!! We are in the process of finishing up the translation of Brother Hagin’s “Tongues: Beyond The Upper Room.” According to Rick Renner, this book is the most complete book of its kind on the subject of tongues that he has ever read. We would like to get this book to as many pastors as we can in Taiwan. As soon as the books are printed, we will send to as many pastors as we can within our reach!!

Kirk posted his testimony on line and for the past 4 months and we have been getting several emails from people of all age groups saying they read it and got saved or felt released from pressure or asking for prayer and we have been corresponding back and forth with them until they get their victory.   Some of the responses back have been for prayer for favor in court cases and prayer for deliverance from depression, prayer for a family member going through a tough time, broken marriages, etc. In each case the person emailed us with questions or prayer request or victory reports, and in each case they emailed again with a good report of victory.  God is doing an awesome work in these last days, we just need to cooperate with His Word and give faith an opportunity to work. – Kirk & Carol Quesnel

Kirk’s testimony is published at Christian-faith.com and here is the link directly to his testimony.

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrew

10:25

We recently went on a 2 week cruise vacation that celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary, our teens’ 18th birthday and especially their once in a lifetime high school graduation. Something spectacular was about to happen… and we were floating right into the middle of it.

Whoever would have thought we might be “in a dry and weary land where there is no ‘water’” on a cruise ship! But remember, the Word encourages us to, “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks

As we mixed and mingled during the sail-away event camaraderie seemed effortless and we and the teens made new acquaintances quickly, including the Cruise Director Stewart from Edmonton. Providentially, he introduced us to the Event Coordinator, Nastja who would become instrumental over the next two weeks.

Through various events and interactions over the first few days we “let love and faithfulness never leave us”…and thus we, “won favor and a good name in the sight of God and man” just as the Word promises.

The ships Event Coordinator Nastja asked the Captain if he would present the teens with their diplomas in a special graduation ceremony. The Captain not only agreed but was joined by many other officers, along with the Cruise Director and his entire staff too. In all there were over 100 people in attendance at Bechah’s, Clema’s and Reign’s graduation which was held in a stunning 180 degree glass enclosed ballroom 12 stories above the sea. In an emotionally-charged presentation, everyone got to hear how very proud we were of the teens’ accomplishments thus far including their monthly support of 5 orphans, their construction of an orphanage, other philanthropic adventures and of their plans to attend Go Ministries’ 5-Fold Academy in Minnesota this summer. Most everyone was amazed for one reason or another. With Reign not actually finishing school, we surprised, honored and included him in the ceremony with an Entrepreneurs diploma, which many found quite touching. Wet eyes were common.

Later, we found out Anca, a Guest Relations officer from Romania found herself crying constantly during the ceremony. We discovered when she graduated her parents were unable to attend as she had hoped. She took photos for us and needed to let me know how this event had blessed her but also reminded her of her sadness. She and I talked about this for a few minutes and I believe Father gave me a word for her. I saw she has the ‘Burden Bearer gift’ and when she faces all the complaints from passengers on the first two days she is apt to carry it inside. I mentioned a verse from Jeremiah, “a curse without cause does not alight,” and showed her where it was found in the scriptures when we met for a couple of hours later that day. She realized that she could let the hurt and offence go about both her Graduation disappointment and her confrontation with new passengers. She did not do anything to cause the curse to come on her and so she did not need to accept it. We ended our time together with the baptism in the Spirit and I prayed in tongues over her. A passenger stepped into our space and said he was blessed by what he witnessed.

Leo, a line cook from the island of St. Lucia would make us Eggs Benedict each morning and as we got to know him we found he was without fellowship and a bible.  In a surprise move, his supervisor gave him time to meet with us. He was thrilled as he hadn’t had any spiritual food or Christian fellowship in months.

Cecilia, a sommelier (wine steward) from the Philippines would come to our table each night and fill our water glasses if our waiter was busy. One evening I asked if she knew Jesus. She replied she didn’t attend church while on the ship and I said she wouldn’t even attend to heaven if she hadn’t said the believer’s prayer. She decided to do that right there. I told the family that she had become a believer and they all cheered. Peace was on her face, you know the kind………..

I went to the washroom and met Jacqueline and asked her if she knew Jesus. She replied she sure did and I was the 1st person to even mention God to her during her whole contract. We jumped up and down praising God in the ladies room.

Tucked in Allen’s bible were fabulous resources like The Victory Aid, Steps to Baptism in the Holy Spirit, and Steps to Salvation from Victory Life Fellowship along with E.W. Kenyon’s, All Things Are Ready and How to Become a Christian booklets. Guest Relations made color copies for us to hand out to Leo and Anca. They later told me that they devoured them right away. I went to the library and found a bible for Leo to use too.

Passengers Ellen and Martin approached me as they felt I knew people and could get a meeting room to have Church on Sunday. Yes, I did know Nastja and she arranged for us to have the library on Sunday evening at 9 pm. We had a sign put on the front desk that afternoon announcing our inter-denominational meeting and to my surprise we easily had 15 couples attend. We met a couple who are Messianic Jews and they were thrilled to have water to drink from and so joined us too. We also had Leo (kitchen staff) and Jacqueline (from the ladies room housekeeping) attend and be prayed over. Martin had injured his knee and the doctor ordered an MRI in Acapulco. I prayed for him while Ellen dined alone one evening and the eventual MRI showed he had no damage and would be on his feet in 2 weeks. PTL! Ellen declared that was the outcome of my prayers.

Nastja let me know that she would make sure the crew would have a room each week to continue with inter-denominational meetings. PTL! 850 employees now have access to regular fellowship. Please believe with us that the anointed men and women of God who work on the ship will take their place in leading the newfound fellowship and the Gospel tracts from Allen’s bible will continue to be published and distributed.

We found out our assistant waiter Nyarie from Zimbabwe was a believer too and he so wanted to attend the meeting but was on duty. I introduced him to Leo and they began to fellowship on the spot.

Our first port-of-call was Cartagena Columbia. We met our tour guide Julio and the driver Jose. As we toured a church with lots of relics I mentioned that we did not need these things to have faith in Jesus. This lit a fire in Julio and we talked for the next 3 hours about our faith in Jesus. He told me his children would be blessed as they had prayed that morning for him to get more understanding of God’s word.  Jose and I shared the front seat and he and I would continue to talk as Julio gave information to the others in the back of the van. It was a great start to our trip. All in Father God’s hands and His will.

Allen and I were blessed every day as we watched our young people befriend passengers of all ages. They were, after-all, the only teens on the ship. They got involved with dance classes and later were asked to attend two special dance competitions. Each learning or teaching the art of dance to the Professionals. Busy were their days and evenings. Joy filled their hearts as they received gifts and accolades for entering in and being great sports through it all.

My prayers were answered when we took the risk to take this journey during a busy season for our students. Great lifelong memories for all of us.

All this happened on a ship and cruise line we never planned going on! You see, until just four days before departure we were sure we were going on another cruise ship leaving hundreds of miles away and on a different day than the one we ended up on. We had made arrangements for excursions in ports-of-call we never arrived at and others that we had to make some really quick adjustments to as we’d be there days ahead of schedule! We might have missed our boat – but just look what happened! Did we really miss our boat?

Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks… 1 Peter 3:15

O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. Psalm 63:1

10:25

3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. 4 Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.  5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Proverbs 3:3-5

For as long as we’ve had children, Steph’s desire was to be a stay at home mom. For years we’ve been asking God when that time would come that she could stay home. It was difficult at times because it seemed like it was taking forever to get an answer. Then about 18 months ago some unfortunate trouble came my way in my job and I was put on probation unfairly. Afterwards I decided that I was going to honour those in authority over me regardless of what had happened and what was said. As time went on, I stopped myself from speaking negatively and speaking only that I was blessed in my workplace and that everything I put my hands to prospers. I also resolved that doing what God wants will be priority in my life.
In March, during life groups at our house we talked about how sometimes you have to step out and make a decision to do what you feel God is calling you to do. So Steph and I got some scriptures, and started believing that God would open up a way for her to stay at home soon. As we talked about it we decided that June 30 would be her last day of work.
Last month, I received word that the boss had put in for a promotion for me back in December as he thought that my performance had become outstanding. Two days later I got the promotion.  That week, I also learned that my supervisor was moving back east to be with family and the boss asked me if I was interested in my supervisor’s job. After some thought I indicated I was interested and he gave me the job. Essentially by July I will have received 2 promotions in the space of 3 months.
Once we got our mouths saying the right things and stepped out in faith, God met us. Praise God!  – Noel & Steph

Anna VanDuyn is out of the hospital as of last night! Her blood pressure came right down to normal.

I was blessed with money to add to my wardrobe and accessories! …(you ladies will appreciate this!) After sowing some money into someone else for some clothing and accessories, immediately the day after, I was blessed with money specifically to go towards wardrobe and accessories! God is so good …ALL THE TIME! – Pastor Diana

Arthur Salga is in Heaven, healed and whole! On Tuesday night, May 4th,  Pastor and I went back into the hospital to visit Joyce and Arthur as the family was gathering. We had prayed earlier that day that there would be assurance of Salvation for Arthur. Ten minutes before we got to his room, he woke up, alert and clear minded. He spoke and even joked with his sons. He had not been that way for a couple of days. They had sedated him quite heavily with morphine earlier…so we know this was a miracle for him to be so alert and awake! We were able to take that window of opportunity and pray the Salvation Prayer with Arthur. He is now Born Again and living with His Heavenly Father in Heaven!

On Friday night, Sophia Kassay come over and helped Joyce with calling family members in Hungary. Sophia speaks fluent Hungarian. Both of Arthurs’ sister’s in Hungary said the Salvation Prayer. On Saturday morning at the Ladies Tea, Joyce Salga’s son’s girlfriend, Mandy, also received the Lord. Praise God for family salvations!

At the meetings this weekend, Nicole Moore went up when Dr. Bob Lemon asked people to come up if they needed healing in their bodies. She had been dealing with pain in her knee. As she was prayed for, she said it felt like there were knives poking and prodding her knee… almost like ‘surgery’ was taking place. Later Nicole had absolutely no more pain and hasn’t had any problems since! Monday she had a great time playing soccer!

In Safeway the other day, I ran into someone that I had worked with at Teen Challenge many months before. It was a short conversation and this gentleman told me things were going well with him etc… We exchanged a few words, and there was a phrase I reminded him of, just in passing as we were talking. It was just a couple of words, nothing that I thought was really that significant. A month later, he called me and left a message. He had been reading a devotion that day that made him think of me and the words I had spoken to him that day in Safeway almost a month ago. He admitted that he had lied that day at Safeway…that things weren’t going well at all. On the message he left, he wanted me to know that he had readmitted himself into Freedom’s Door (Short Term Recovery House)… and that he was now in fact doing well…” I praise God for those random meetings, those divine appointments. One Word surely can make a difference! How important is it to take the time to ‘chat’ with people? – Diana Tripke
